New Hyundai Santro 2018 Preview
The new Hyundai Santro 2018 retains the tallboy design, which it
was famously known, mixes the design language with that of a conventional
hatchback. It's curvier than its predecessor and looks more upmarket too, and
comes with well-placed accent lines that accentuate the overall design,
especially when viewed in profile. The massive fluidic grille does catch your
attention and so do the sweptback headlamps. The headlamps are halogen though,
and there are no projectors or LED daytime running lights on offer yet. That
said, the highly placed fog lamps look different but blend well into the
design.
New Hyundai Santro 2018 will also only come with a set of steel
14-inch wheels with wheel covers and there are no alloy wheels on offer, even
on the top-of-the-line Asta trim. At the rear, the car gets minimal lines with
the wide boot-lid, large windscreen and stubby taillights. Overall, the design
has been well thought out and will be liked by Indian audiences.
New Hyundai Santro Interior Design
The cabin has been equally thought out on the new Hyundai
Santro that boasts of improved space and also makes do of good use of
materials. The dual beige and black themed interior looks pleasant that extend
to the seats as wel, while the tallboy design makes for ample of headroom too.
The also comes with decent legroom at the rear seats, which is a big plus. The
new Santro has been designed to seat up to five.

One of the biggest plus points on the new Hyundai Santro are
the rear AC vents, which not only aid to comfort for rear seat passengers, but
is seen as a premium feature as well. The other big update is the addition of a
7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will support Bluetooth, mirror link
and inbuilt navigation. More importantly, the infotainment setup will also
support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a segment first feature. The
connectivity options will certainly appeal to younger buyers looking for their
first car.
New Hyundai Santro 2018 Engine and Gearbox
Power on the all-new Hyundai Santro will come from only the
1.1-litre, Epsilon family engine that is tuned to produce 68 bhp of power and
99 Nm of peak torque. The engine is a 4-cylinder motor that is already ready to
meet the future BS6 regulations when they kick in in 2020. The new Santro will
also get a factory fitted CNG option with an 8 kg capacity tank. The CNG
version though, will have the motor de-tuned to 58 bhp, while the torque output
will remain the same at 99 Nm.
New Hyundai Santro 2018 Fuel Efficiency
The Hyundai Santro 2018 is said to have a fuel efficiency figure
of 20.3 kmpl on the petrol only version according to ARAI test figures.

New Hyundai Santro 2018 Prices, Launch and Bookings
The all-new Hyundai Santro 2018 will be launched on October 23,
2018. Bookings for the new Hyundai Santro will open on October 10, 2018, and
will be taken exclusively online. The booking amount on the new Santro will be
Rs 11,100 and the introductory prices at the time of launch will only be
applicable to the first 50,000 bookings. The new Santro is expected to be
offered in at least five variants at an extremely aggressive starting price.
Deliveries, on the other hand, will start towards the end of this month. The
new Hyundai Santro will be competing against the Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki
Wagon R, Datsun GO and the likes in this segment.
